Katja Mueller 1 has recently advocated a mathematical, computeraided approach to locating settlements in Ptolemaic Egypt. Based on that approach, as well as on more traditional analysis, she reconstructed probable settlement maps for the Merides of Themistos and Polemon of the Arsinoite nome.
